Altima® Membrane
High-quality membranes made of an aluminum-titanium-magnesium alloy ensure high impulse fidelity and low sound discoloration in our Chromium series. This is how we reproduce music and surround sound with maximum dynamics and a perfect bounce effect. The more stroke, the more sound is the our credo. The built-in drivers are not only unique in terms of technology – without the dust cap, their clean look is a special visual highlight.
Balanced-Distribution-System
Extra large membrane surfaces and the latest quadral technology ensure that the balanced distribution system spreads the sound precisely and evenly. Especially in the Chromium 85 and Chromium 105, the bass gains in precision and depth and gives it an extremely rich timbre.
E-Sense Tweeter
A new evolutionary stage of the Chromium series has been reached – with the new ribbon tweeters, we’ve gone one step further in terms of listening pleasure and sound quality.
In perfect symbiosis with the balanced distribution system, the E-sense ribbon tweeters stand for fine definition, naturalness, seamless dynamics and lead sounds and tones to their true purpose.
Chassis
21mm thick walls and ingenious struts on the inside make the chassis sturdy. The careful workmanship and clever placement of the insulating material make our Chromium series particularly low in vibration and thus the perfect roommate. If you want to add acoustics, you can supplement the floor plates with commercially available spikes.

Ribbon tweeters were developed around 1920 and stand for ultra-fine sound and the highest sound quality. Due to the very elaborate and complex manufacturing process, this technology is very rarely used on the market. Here, too, Quadral lives up to its role as a pioneer and has been using this technology in the legendary Titan series since 1981. After constant development, we are now presenting the ribbon tweeter in our new Chromium series.

The Chromium 85 pushes the heavy bass so powerfully, and yet at high levels in a controlled manner in the direction of the audience, that even fans of heavyweight floor-standing speakers will nod approvingly. And yes, the Quadral transport the bass impulse in “Am I”, which lasts about a second every two bars, perfectly.

The sound of the Chromium 8 is simply first class for the NP of 1,650 euros anyway and my friends liked it just as much. The opinion of many sound freaks and hi-fi nerds from my circle of friends and acquaintances says more than 1,000 words because everyone has a different hearing and taste in music!
Added the Quadral Style 8 to my 7.1 system! (18.01.18) I am very satisfied both in direct solo mode and in interaction with all components!
I think it’s particularly great that it doesn’t matter whether it’s at room volume, a little quieter at night and the sound is equally excellent at full load! I find it practical that the design of the housing welcomes a position close to the wall as well as a greater distance!
Noble high-gloss finish, perfect gap for all drivers + terminals on the back. Aluminum ribbon tweeter: high-quality components for the price. Elegant and stylish overall picture. Unfortunately no bi-amping/wiring terminal, but good screw terminals.
