The covers / grids are excellent for painting.
However, the fleece must be removed beforehand; this is fixed with a weak adhesive.
The fleece can be pressed back into the grid afterwards.

As paint, commercial spray cans are best suited, it should be painted carefully so that the fine perforation is not clogged.
The application by roller is rather unsuitable.
